History

The story of McMillan Funeral Home began in 1897, when W. K. McMillan founded a funeral home in Booneville to serve local families. His son Robert joined the family craft in 1925, and ran day-to-day operations until his retirement in 1971. Robert's son Bobby and daughter-in-law Alice formed a partnership with Betty and Charles Steen, but took full control again in 1990.

A family tradition

From 1997 until his retirement in 2016, Jimmy McMillan served as a location manager, representing the fourth generation of the McMillan family’s involvement in Northeast Mississippi funeral service.

A century of service
